Description

Among the day hikes, this is the most demanding, but it offers, on a clear day, one of the best views of the National Park; being able to contemplate the mountain ranges of Cerro Fitz Roy and Torre, the large glacier and valley of the Fitz Roy river among others. The walk starts from the P.N. information center. and begins to gain altitude progressively, first through the ecotone, then through a lush Lengas forest, to finish the last 300m in high mountain terrain, where there are traces of marine fossils. From the summit the view is 360, with both mountain ranges, glaciers, Lake Viedma and the steppe to the east. The return is along the same path.
