Perhaps the most classic hike in the National Park, beautiful views of Mount Fitz Roy and a walk that includes forest and high mountain terrain.
We'll leave El Chaltén early in the morning, transfer to Río Eléctrico. We'll start hiking up the Rio Blanco Valley, passing the “Glacier Piedras Blancas" viewpoint. After passing the Poincenot camp, we will continue the steep ascent of 450m to Laguna de los Tres. The view from there it's one of the best and nearest to Mount Fitz Roy! After a lunch break, we'll pass by Laguna Capri to El Chaltén. This is a full day, from 9 to 10 hours of activity
The weather in Patagonia is very changeable and the wind can be very strong. The days can go from sunny to rain, hail and even snow in spring (Sep-Nov), with a daytime temperature of 15°C and 0-5°C at night. The wind can make the environment feel colder. It is advisable to come prepared for all types of weather and with good quality clothing.
